I can't paste text from the clipboard into the field.

I need to replace the long text with another long text.
I copy the text from my notebook and paste it into the first field.
I also copy and paste the text from the notebook, but the text in the first field is no longer there. Since the popup has already closed and the text in the first field has been deleted due to the re-opening of the popup to insert text into the second field.

Make a setting or just save the text in the field at startup. keep it only for the current browser launch.

Ideally, it would be cool to have a text replacement table.,
multiple search and multiple replacement.
But I have to replace it in parts in 10 expansion launches.
But even here it is not possible to insert replacement text.

I have come across this situation myself. The text will clear as soon as you close the popup and getting the second text will cause the popup to close.

It is possible to change the behaviour of Replace so that it keeps the pasted text. The problem here is that a mistake can wipe out previously saved text/regular expression.

You can also try Edit which has more features but meant only for text input boxes.

@erosman A good extension Edit. I dreamed about it. But it doesn't work.

• The tags are inserted as text into the text and the tags are visible among the text.
• And the replacement search doesn't work. I'm writing a word that's on the site, but the extension can't replace it. Writes there is no such text.

Edit & Replace have different functions. However, Edit has a Custom Find & Replace feature.
TBH, both extension are due for an update but I have been working mostly on FoxyProxy and FireMonkey.
I will check all feature requests when working on the next update of any of my addons.

For the time being, you can do the following workaround in Replace.

Example:

• Replace "Hello there" with "Good night"
• Copy both the find/replace text string into a text document

Hello there
Good night

• Copy both and paste into one Replace box
• While it is still open cut the string that has to go into the other box and paste it there

Your right. I understood you. It's really possible. That's a great idea. When I'm in a hurry at work, I forget to think to do as you wrote.
