Does this work in freeBSD out of the box?

If not, should I have to buy, say this usb dongle?

No, that won't work 'out of the box' as this driver is still in development. There is no 802.11ac support in any FreeBSD release, yet.
That Realtek device will never be supported by this driver. I don't believe there are any drivers in existence for that.

I have the same problem with QCA9377 on Dell Inspiron 3780
It is not recognized while "pciconf - lv" lists it as

hi, Yeah, this athp driver doesn't yet support the AR9377 stuff. It's Peregrine (AR9380), Beeliner (AR999x) and Rome (QCA6174)
