Would it be possible to get a single sentence of the major constructs used in examples?
I think one pager would go a long way, does not need to be full fledged reference or tutorial.

Looking at lexer.mll seems I missed a few. If they are hard to describe I'd hope they don't prevent the explanation of the most common ones.

Jamie gave a talk and it is a quite good introduction to this type theory.
Reading section 2 of the paper serves as excellent reference with some examples.
