can't get quickstart img to take on rasp 3b+

can apply other images (64-bit rasp pi OS) fine but the one from the quickstart gives me 4 slow flashes, 7 fast, have tried 16 and 32 Gb SD cards.

have other people used the posted img successfully?

(this probably isn't the place to ask but couldn't find another avenue of contact)

yes, though it did take some digging... It's a firmware vs software conflict, since this in an older build and your hardware is probably newer...

Go to: https://github.com/raspberrypi/firmware/tree/master/boot

Grab the start*.elf files (there are eight of them) and copy them to your SD card (replacing the ones there).

Theoretically, it'll boot right up (though mine isn't currently....I cracked my SD card and am having to start over...)

aha thanks yes that got me all the way to the gui desktop!

ran into one more snag, my /media/pi/32G folder was owned by root initially so the Daily_processing.py program running as user pi didn't have permission to write to it so I couldn't see results at http://seisberry16hz until I did a "sudo chown -R pi:pi /media/pi/32G". also about a third of the .txt files had rows with missing fields, so had to replace the "data2 = np.genfromtxt(..." line with
