Participants able to skip SEX2 (Required)

Hi all, from my understanding of the updated Module 1 poste Executive Order, SEX2 became a required question. This was put into prod for 2/14 for the English version of Module 1, and on 2/20 for the Spanish version of Module 1.

There are 102 participants (4.7%) that were able to skip this required question since those dates, meaning these participants skipped every option for SEX2. I made sure to filter the survey language and the date of prod push respectively. There is no conditionality in my code related to the response given for SEX.

It looks like we've had at least one Module 1 survey completed every day since these pushes and nearly every day this issue has persisted.

@joshid-ims @boyd-mj Can you check that the markdown for SEX2? It should be a required question, but ~5% of participants were able to skip it.

Yes, SEX2 is required in both English and Spanish M1.

'!' means it is required.

I think it was made required later. Have those participants taken the survey before the change?

I don't see any skip logic in the previous questions that would cause them to not see the question either.

To Deepti's question, it looks like the change to require SEX2 was added on 1/31/2025 per the change log (though the change log is dated 2024, but it was the EO changes so that must be a type) so Deepti is correct that if they completed the survey before this most recent prod release, they question would not have been required.

Aileen confirmed that it wasn't pushed to prod until 2/14 for English and 2/20 for Spanish, so those are the dates I used

Meaning the question was skipped only for participants who began their survey after that date?

No, meaning they must have completed the survey after that date.

But I'm glad you said that!! I should have had it as they STARTED module 1 after those dates, not completed it after those days. Once I adjust the code we have 0 people as we should! It looks like those people just completed their survey over multiple days.

It looks like I spoke too soon... one participant finished module 1 yesterday and was able to skip SEX2. Connect ID 8892987276. Started the survey in march
