When I create a note, and insert a citation, I may also want to insert the citations reference: authors, title etc.
This can be done with the emacs command citar-insert-reference.
A convenient way to do this, is to put the cursor on the citation, and then execute embark-act.
This pops up a menu: select r to put the citation reference in the kill ring.
Move the cursor to where you want to insert the reference, then paste from the kill ring.
