Offtopic: How do you have two branches the same?

I see how you have :oracle-jre-8 and :latest branches exactly the same, down to the commit hashes (or whatever they are). How did you do that? I'm modelling my repos (https://registry.hub.docker.com/u/packetworks/nxfilter/) after yours because they make a ton of sense. I'm kinda new to collaboration, and coding in general.
