Sample dataset

I am finding it hard to get results from my data.

Can you please provide a sample test dataset with instructions to quickly try it out ourselves.

@ajayar Hey, here is example of setup Cohort plugin. Tested on Kibana 6.2.2.

1. Set mapping what defines 'timestamp'(when doc was created) and 'createdAt'(when user/item was created) fields as date type,
   also you can define 'daysBetween' if you'll not create it as scripted field(step 3):

3. Alternative to 'daysBetween' is to create scripted field with same name and next value:

(doc.timestamp.value.getMillis() - doc.createdAt.value.getMillis()) / (1000*60*60*24)

To calculate days diff on elastic side.

4. Create new Cohort visualization, setup buckets:

• set Cohort Date bucket: Aggregation - 'Date Histogram', Field - 'createdAt', Interval - up to you;
• set Cohort Period bucket: Sub Aggregation - 'Histogram', Field - 'daysBetween', Minimum Interval - '0'
