License files LICENSE.electron.txt and LICENSES.chromium.html are not distributed with the application #568
Description
After installation of an Electron application for windows, the following license files are missing in the application installation folder:
- LICENSE.electron.txt - copyright and license for Electron
- LICENSES.chromium.html - bundle of all copyrights and licenses for Chromium
- Copyright and license for Squirel.Windows and its dependencies
Most open source licenses (MIT, BSD, Apache, LGPL, ...) require that 3rd part libraries are bundled with the application binaries including the copyright and the license text file.
This problem appears also for most commercial Electron applications (e.g., Figma, Gitkraken, Postman, ...) built by windows-installer. Problem does not appear for Electron applications built by electron-builder only.
