Support pg_search extension

pg_search is a great extension for full-text search using BM25 algorithm, so it will have Elastic-level search quality and powerful performance(benchmark).

Hey, yes we 100% want to support pg_search, it's perfect for the embedded FTS use case.

We've not yet tackled any pgrx (Rust API for Postgres extensions) based extensions, but it's high on the list, with pg_search the first we will take on. I'm hopeful that pgrx extensions shouldn't be too hard to get working as Rust has very good WASM support.

Please correct me if i'm wrong but unfortunately I think this one needs to be closed due to pgrx fundamental incompatibility with compiling to WASM:

I'm going to close this issue.

pg_search would have been awesome, but I don't think it will ever be able to compile to WASM due to it's architecture.

I will open another issue for pg_textsearch which we may have more luck with. It's incompatible in it's current state, but it looks like it will be possible with some work.

Interesting, would be good to know more about why pgrx is not going to be compilable to WASM.

I will open another issue for pg_textsearch which we may have more luck with. It's incompatible in it's current state, but it looks like it will be possible with some work.

Have a look if you have some time to finish it.
