Feature Request: UI redesign to follow Material Design 3

I had a suggestion that’s more on the visual side of things -

The app currently uses an older Material Design style, which looks similar to the one from around Android 5. It would be amazing to see the UI updated to follow the newer Material Design 3 guidelines — it could really modernize the look and make the app feel more polished and up to date.

I understand that a redesign like this is a pretty big task and definitely not a small change, especially when the app's main focus is on reliability and usefulness. Still, I wanted to bring it up as a long-term improvement idea, in case it's something you're considering down the line.

Thanks! It actually sounded like a really fun project, so I’ve been working on it in my free time over the past couple of days (and I've had a lot of that lately, given the current situation 😅). It’s been a while since I last worked on Android app development, it's been pretty fun getting back into it.

I'll share some screenshots soon, I'd be happy if you could give me feedback so I could know if there's anything I could improve :)
