consider using KNOWN_ env vars

Looking at the Known docs it seems these steps can be avoid if you give your env var the matching names. The way I understand the docs, the config.ini file is still needed for the other settings, but could then just be added at build time.

Ah, just saw that this feature is only one day old, so will not be available with 0.6.4
