suggestion: omit netifaces

if you're using localhost, you don't need netifaces, and building it is a pain, so it would be nice for it to somehow be optional.

I actually removed netifaces a while back in this branch, but it's not merged yet.

I'll make a smaller PR for just this and merge it as soon as possible!
