After making changes in General Settings of theme, page doesn't reload correctly

Thanks for all the work on the theme recently, it has been greatly appreciated.

We have noticed that if you go to Site Admin > Appearance > Themes > Essential > General Settings and then edit the footer in HTML mode: Footnote > Display more buttons > HTML and then edit the HTML and Save Changes, the General Settings page does not reload correctly; the logo section gets stuck displaying the spinner for loading and the footnote, loses the editing buttons and is stuck in HTML display mode. You can get out of it by clicking on 'General Settings' again in the menu which forces a refresh.
