Allow overlaying/comparing cyclic voltammograms

This needs a mechanism to select the desired cyclic voltammograms.

can you elaborate a bit more what you mean. What I tried to work on was a database functionality, where you filter the databse for certain enries, or create a databse with specific entries and then use database.plot, to put all the figures in that database in a single figure.

The way I see it: You have a page with a single plotly graph and a grid/list with all the cyclic voltammetry data where you can select the desired data to plot. By selecting the data/electrochemical system you tell plotly to load the corresponding csv from github. In this way there are no time consuming site loading and it feels responsive.

This approach would be website only.

The current solution always reloads all csv files of a selection which could generate quite some network traffic.
Maybe caching will be necessary eventually.
