Velero Prometheus metrics

Looks like Velero Prometheus exporter keeps backup as succeeded even after it runs out of TTL: vmware-tanzu/velero#1333
Investigate if this still a thing and if so - contribute upstream to resolve this

I think you are talking about velero_backup_success_total metric. This metric is of type 'Counter' it can only go up. It will show total successful backups from the time at which velero server was started.

I think it is by design, that the metric counter will include deleted or expired backups as well.
