[bug] rendering fail despite correct LaTeX code

I typed

=tex x^2-x+1 = (x-\frac12-\frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}i)(x-\frac12+\frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}i)

which is correct LaTeX code but the bot failed to render the math.

I changed the code by adding a couple of whitespaces around a '+' sign and I ran the command again to observe the expected output.
