Multiplayer Problems [Forge & Fabric] (1.20.1 & 1.19.2)

I want to use a mob battle mod with my friend on a server so we can make the fake players fight. but the skins dont generate onto the players. how do I fix this?

Are you using the fabric or forge version and are you using the latest fabric version of the mod?

I am using the 1.20.1 version of forge for the mod. do I have to use the latest version of forge?

Is anyone using a Mac Device, as there's a known issue with file permissions with that. The solution to that is to give permission to minecraft for that. Haven't found a fix for it yet. I work on the fabric version of the mod, so I don't know too much about the code in the forge version. The two versions are decently different.

Me and my friend are both using windows computers.

Are you hosting the server with a normal server or are you using essentials?

And I'll get the guy who made this mod originally and who did the forge version. Since I just maintain and update the fabric version, though I am working on a v2.0.0 version of the mod which will support both forge and fabric with architectury.

I'm using the mod on an aternos server.

Can you provide any kind of attachment showing this issue?
Maybe aternos doesnt allow mods to download files but i'm not sure

my username is Glitchman22 on minecraft and I nametag the fake player and it does not generate the skin. I also tryed it on a single player world and it worked fine.
