Perfectly side-facing? #1
Description
The application works as desired as long as it is supplied with profiles of perfectly right and left facing lions. However, the photographers tell me that the lions are not always so cooperative. And so, every once in a while, we encounter an image which may be slightly tilted. However, the application is currently limited to calculating only on a 2D plane. It does not take the tilting into account.
(There is, however, a way around it. This involves assuming that the roughly triangular nose of a lion is symmetrical about the vertical line when its face is observed from the front. If the user marks the tip (center) of the nose, followed by the extreme right side of the triangle visible, followed by the extreme left of the triangle, then we might be able to remove the effect of tilting.)
