Description
Navigate to the MAST Portal at https://mast.stsci.edu
Click Advanced Search
In the target_name panel, add a target you would like to search for, such as Jupiter, Mars, Ceres, etc
Perform the search and see if anything is returned.
If you have results, check out the Start Time and/or End Time columns (may need to ensure they are turned on).
Note that one of these dates and then switch to our GUI.
Enter the target information and a date that is a few days before/after the observation dates you noted.
Search for MAST observations in the GUI and check out the Plot.
If you see some interesting results, such as retrograde motion, multiple missions/instruments, curious pattern of observations, etc, take a screenshot and share it on our Discord channel!
