Does this project include a newer openssl version than the one that is in Play Store version of csipsimple?

I built the app and gave it a try. SSL protocol method that it is offering is SSLv23, which is insecure. Any hints on how to upgrade its ssl lib (e.g. to https://github.com/qwerty1461/openssl-for-csipsimple) would be appreciated.
