Test package generation #8
Description
As a package maintainer, I want to know that package generation is currently in a good state before PRs land so that I can be confident that releases can proceed at any point in the history.
Tests at the moment only focus on the pytest tests, and do not exercise functionality such as package generation. This issue is to ensure that automated tests are performed to build the package.
