Support flex-items with content and no 'flex' or width defined

On content within flex items: the firefox implementation (in nightly and aurora) seems much more sane - for /comprehensive it makes three even columns. So at best the spec doesn't specify what to do in this situation and we can follow the firefox model, at worse we're missing something in the spec which means that chrome has the correct rendering. Is it worth emailing the webkit mailing list to ask how the layout is determined in these cases, and whether it's spec driven?

Maybe. Hold tight, I've got a fresh testbed coming your way in a few minutes. This one tests more cross/main sizing , floats, overflows, etc. Needless to say, many more failing tests ahead.

On the plus side, the current tests are passing in IE9, IE10, FF and Safari.

I can't tell if the differences in overflow visible/hidden are intentional or a bug.

Re: /comprehensive, IE10's flexbox model behaves exactly like Chrome. So they're definitely following some sort of spec, I just can't make heads or tails of it.

Maybe after passing this testbed round we'll get a better sense of the layout algorithm.
