Microk8s ghost v5.26.2 not working. something about dns lookup of my host not being found

I love using ghost normally on microk8s kubernetes. It usually works without hassle. Except for the latest version 5.26. it doesn't.
I get this error from the logs.
Error from server: Get "https://kubecontroller:10250/containerLogs/default/ghost-deployment-666fb5c98-lqn6c/ghost-pod": dial tcp: lookup kubecontroller on 8.8.8.8:53: no such host
I had to revert to an earlier version 5.7. which did work.
