Hi there,

in our records folders (f.e. news) on a multi-domain multi-language TYPO3, we have the following languages in that order:

DE, EN, FR, CZ

Some records don't need to be translated in all languages, so there are use cases where we want to translate f.e. from DE to CZ only. This is not possible with dd_deepl. Whenever you press the dd_deepl-icon for CZ, it translates to EN first, after that FR and only then you can translate to CZ. This is a bit annyoing for our editors and it also creates translations that we don't need.

Some facts:

  • The problem doesn't occour when using the core translation icons.
  • It doesn't matter if those records are inside or outside of the root page of a domain. We have them outside.
  • There's also no such problems with page translations.

I didn't find any issues adressing this, which is a bit confusing as this is a major flaw and I'm wondering if I'm the only one. :)

Can you help?

TYPO3 12.4.28
dd_deepl 12.7.3
PHP 8.2
