The current architecture waits for a tunnel from the gateway machine to the discos machines (to the port of the desired VNC session) to be opened in order to give remote access to the VNC session.
This means that if any of the discos machines is restarted, a system administrator must open the tunnel manually in order to provide the remote access.
By using remote SSH tunnels we should be able to open tunnels from the discos machines to the gateway machine at boot, preventing the need to manually start the tunnels from the gateway.
