after HA upgrade to 2024.5 StreamAssist sucks up all my RAM

Hi guys, is there some alternative to StreamAssisst?
It's almost 20 hours that I fight with my setup and what I discovered is that with home assistant 2025.4 as soon as the component StreamAssist loads up, all the ram and swap of my raspberry5 is sucked up and the system freezes.

I see the development is not very active.

Anyone else had my same issue? I know this is not the place to open a bug for StreamAssist (I posted on that github too), I'm simply looking for a suggestion.

Sorry to hear this for sure. My advice would be to give HassMic a try. It's still in beta but many are using it. It should simplify things for you as you won't need the camera app any longer. The setup is a bit different. You may want to hop on the HassMic discord channel on the View Assist server if you have questions.
