[Bug]: Application becomes unresponsive when downloading new version

Summary

I've notices quite a lot of times that I am unable to use openwork when i download a newer version from settings

Steps to reproduce

update openwork version

Expected behavior

to be able to use openwork when the software is downloading an update

Actual behavior

unusable when updating the versions

thx for reporting @saifxyzyz i'll try to reproduce there's a few performance fix we're working on that will be shipped in the next few days.

i released a few perf improvements update to v0.11.97 and let me know how it goes

There still appears to be a freeze in the ui when downloading the latest version on my system,
On second though I assume the fixes will take place when i update from the current version to a newer one xD
