thumbnails on team page on safari

Minor issue: In checking the V1.1 release on multiple browsers, I noticed that the thumbnails for the team photos are showing up as strangely small on Safari in comparison to Google Chrome. Any idea why this might be? This isn't pressing, but I'm wondering if you might have time to look into this.

@annamgibson I've taken a look at this and am still trying to figure out exactly why it's happening. I think it's either something to do with how Safari handles rem units, or it not respecting some particular CSS rules. Unfortunately, I haven't figured out a good cross-browser fix yet.
