Server Discovery? (maybe) #6
Description
If you don't know anyone with a Dropgate server, your client can find one for you by asking a central network. For each server you can see their upload limits, version number, rough location (might be helpful for faster uploads/transfers). Might be risky/unsafe to implement, would rely on trust or a foolproof verification procedure. On the server side, discovery would be off by default for privacy. Again, this might be a backwards step. If discovery is enabled on a server, it should hook into the central server to tell it it's still alive and available. Honestly feels like I'm stealing ideas from BitTorrent but eh.
