Failing tests #112

Our integration tests seems to be failing; see #109 (comment):
I hate to be the person who submits their first PR without getting tests running, but I couldn't get tests running! Getting the error "Execution failed for task ':app:connectedDebugAndroidTest'". I looked through the tests though nothing seemed to be calling playback code.
I'm pretty sure this has nothing to do with that PR in particular, but we need to verify the tests are failing on the main branch and fix them if so.
