Schottky reversed?

Hi, Am about to try building your rad-gate.. pretty much as you have outlined. Noticed that the schottky diode looks like it is the wrong way around on the circuit diagram.

Good call on the diode, have built the gate and my young lad and his mates love it. (Fortunately I hadn't noticed the diode the wrong way in the drawing and wired it around the right way :), anyway the real intent of this comment is to thank the owner of the project, fantastic work. Very grateful that you shared.

Thanks @hwhittington ! I put my code up because I was amazed that there was no open source BMX gate controller design that I could find - but there seemed to be plenty of people looking for one.

I would love to see pictures of your gate / controller. Here is my current version, with 3d printed case, tripod, and light tree. :)

Heres some pics of the start gate, fully functional but a bit agricultural :) , Young lad wasn't happy with the gate drop speed so added a bungee cord and alls good. Considered adding a spring but happy with bungee now. Thinking off adding a light beam / timer / LCD display that shows the time from the gate drop to when the rider passes the beam say 25m away. Still a novice with arduino code so that will be fun!

Nothing wrong with agricultural! gives it character.

@hwhittington I've created issue #2 for adding timing, so we can look into it a bit more. If you do want to have a go, I'm happy to review / test the code and merge it into the rad-gate codebase if it works :)
