Update account settings page is slightly confusing

something something Y

1. The Y is in a green circle. If you click it, it goes grey, but still says Y. I assume this has turned off notifications...? Could be clearer.
2. Button says "Update it". Update what? Could it just say update?
3. So I click the button and... nothing happens. Could I have some feedback? Am I going to still get notifications?

I think we should have radio icons enhanced to Y/N with colours, which hopefully would make 1) clearer. 2) "Update" seems like a good copy change to me. 3) We could put a flash at the top of the page saying "Notification settings updated", or just "Settings updated" fairly easily. Would that make it clear enough, or do we need something heavier weight?
