Hi, I would like to creating an endpoint that converts text to image. My code works fine on my machine, but when I deployed, the statement require('canvas') threw an error.

The error is thrown at require('canvas')

Not sure if you've tried this yet, but according to this answer and subsequent replies, on AWS, the OS' libz.so.1 is getting called before canvas'.

I haven't got the chance to test it yet, but you can fix it by setting an environment variable called LD_PRELOAD:

LD_PRELOAD=/var/task/node_modules/canvas/build/Release/libz.so.1

Hmm... The node_modules directory might not be in the path /var/task

ERROR: ld.so: object '/var/task/node_modules/canvas/build/Release/libz.so.1' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded (cannot open shared object file): ignored.

I coded a webshell and executed command ls ., and I couldn't find the node_modules directory in /var/task

I published a library called print-lib-path on npm and installed it to my deta micro. Now I know the node_modules path.

I updated the env file.

And a new error was thrown.
