refresh doesnt reset timer

HI, great widget.
I have noticed when using the menu to request a refresh, the timer is not always reset
is there a specific condition which needs to be met in order for the refresh to work ?

Currently the timer is not updated on manual refresh. I suggest using "Never" refresh rate - it will update the data every time the widget is opened. Thanks

the element I am struggling with is the removal of the API check.
When I comment out the relevant parts I don't seem to get the location information to pickup from garmin weather, instead the widget prompts "no location pess menu to use GPS" but that then never updates the callback to the screen

Any ideas why the API check is causing the location to not be written?

I suppose essentially how do I remove the retrieval of the apiKey and still get it to work ;-)

Not sure what exactly you are trying to remove. Sorry, I don't have time to go into details on this, so you would just have to experiment.
