building on WSL: error when running make run #34

The process fail when using make run on a Linux subsystem for windows running Ubuntu (Linux MAIN 5.15.133.1-microsoft-standard-WSL2 # 1 SMP Thu Oct 5 21:02:42 UTC 2023 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux)
Unexpected identifier
make: *** [Makefile:174: run] Error 1
I have NPM and Node installed without problems, although I can't get further beyond that error.
Running on Windows 11 with latest patches
