Can I use current git version for production?

Hi I see that latest release (https://deno.land/x/mysql@v2.12.1) is very outdate (2023) and after that it seems that there have been some importat updates on authentication including `caching_sha2_password` support.
However a new package was never released.
Can I consider the current git version as stable and include it in production?
