Files that are editable by anyone with link show as readable by anyone with link

I just encountered a file where the file is editable by anyone with the link (owner is aware of this), but when running permissionList on the document id, it says "WARNING: ANYONE WITH THE LINK CAN READ THIS DOCUMENT.". Instead it should say "WARNING: ANYONE WITH THE LINK CAN EDIT THIS DOCUMENT."

This seems to be related to the checks in permissionList. Unless I'm misunderstanding Google's documentation (which is completely plausible) the permission.list method provides you with the 'permission ID' in the 'id' field. Permission ID seems to be a unique identifier for the permission which is ignored when 'type' is set to 'anyone'. If we want to check to see if a file is editable by anyone with link would it be more appropriate to check for type='anyone' and role={owner, organizer, fileOrganizer,
writer} or does google drive behave differently than I understand if type='anyone'?
