Marauder attacks cannot be dodged [Season 2]

I am almost done finishing the game's all quests (thank you btw), and throughout the entire game I was unable to dodge a single Marauder attack. I remember from the game that it was quite easy with jumping - when they charged the single attack (not the long combo one) all you had to do was to jump with a certain timing and that was it. I tested several timings several times on many terrain slopes, but so far I was unable to dodge a single attack - both normal Marauder and Savage/Mature Marauder. It is quite limiting playing the game as you have to cheese them a bit.

Any idea as to why does this happen or how to fix it?

are you trying to dodge the charged one when they expose their weakpoint? Those cannot be dodged. I was able to dodge the light melee ones by backing up down a hill yesterday but I haven't tried the jumping yet(I was terrible at it when the game was live so I wasn't keen to relieve it lol)

No, I don't mean the charged one (those cannot be dodge afaik). I mean the standard light attack. Since creation if this issue, I was able to dodge it few times by going backwards a bit before jumping, but it is very terrain dependent and not consistent. I remember that it was not needed to move at all, just jump at the right moment and that I cannot do in this version. It is shown in the video I mentioned, here's the link again, with timestamp.
