Dead Domain Detection Methods?

Just wondering what detection methods do you use and have planed for dead domains?

E.g.

• DNS NS Record
• DNS A/AAAA Record
• DeadDomainsLinter - urlfilter.adtidy.org
• WHOIS
• RDAP
• etc
