Description
Redundant Hierarchical Terms:
(1) Procedure CPT4\Medicine Services And Procedures\Medicine Services And Procedures CPT4 LEVEL 1: 90000-99607: It has duplicated the LEVEL 2 Terms like ‘Cardiovascular Procedures’ with the Retired code CPT4:LEVEL 2: 92920-93799.(current ‘Cardiovascular Procedures’ has a code CPT4: 1012974). This has only the Retired HTs with Range codes appearing as Terminal leaf terms. Its other Terms like Dialysis Procedures, ……. To Psychiatry Services have the same. This portion can be deleted as they only have range codes.
(2) (ix) Multiple Pathology And Laboratory Tests Term (4).
- CPT4: LEVEL1: 80000-89399, CPT4:LEVEL1 80000-89356, both can be removed.
- CPT4: 80048-89356 and CPT4: LEVEL 1 80000-89398 can be combined at the next level after removing the Range codes/terms
- combining 80100, 80101, 80102,80103 (active) and 80104 (Retired)
- CPT4: 88107 (Retired) – can be combined with Cytopathology Procedures (CPT4:1012370) along with 88108 (active)
