its possible to self-host this but its not easy like just download and run

so, after trying the tutorial, i haven't get it to work correctly, it crashes, is there any other solution for this :c?

While me and @datkat21 briefly brought up the idea of an Electron app, well, it would just be nothing but a hacky stopgap. (although it probably would've taken a day or two and local rendering is still not quite here but) At this point it's probably too late for either of us to consider.

@DrakarDrak Just checked out your tutorial, it's not bad at all.
You actually don't need to use FFL-Testing-with-hats (despite the README saying it's using that), that's only for hats in icons, and my version does have hat support now so pointless either way.
Weellll the app is wired up for my implementation, but... uhhh I don't actually incluudde the hat assets (and mine are different) and idk if I want to so... hats in icons still won't work either way 🙃

And if you want a lazy way out without setting up FFL-Testing, I'm pretty sure you can replace the hostname in config.ts with mii-unsecure.ariankordi.net, my server should have the hats on it too, obviously won't be as fast.

which distro are you on? have you installed all of requirements?
did you put FFLResHigh.dat file on ffl testing folder you cloned? also if you extracted from miitomo you need to rename AFLResHigh_2_3.dat as FFLResHigh.dat

if you run it locally on ur computer successfully you might propbably end up with a missing head

i dont mean to nag but is this possible on windows? or do i have to do another method to get this working on here

You can easily set it up on windows if you put around an hour of time into it, I just don't feel like making my own guide on setting up ffl-testing and all of that since it's definitely going to be outdated once the new client-side rendering update is finished. :(
