specify some specific config using fabric location discovery?

Is it possible to specify some specific config, i.e. the loopback address, of each switch by the fabric location discovery, not serial number? for example, for leaf-1, the ip add of loopback0 is set to 1.1.1.1/32, and leaf-2 is 2.2.2.2/32.

In my understanding, this specific config cannot be set in the fabric config profile, but only be set in the individual config according to the serial number rule. But if we need to set, i.e. the loopback address, for each switch, the fabric config profile will no longer be used, right?

Thanks for the query.

In Ignite you can add 2 types of configlets - Template or Script,a mako script to be precise. We can achieve assignment of loopback IP based on switch name with the help of mako construct. Add configlet- loopback.txt, as type Script and use this in configprofile which is applied at the Fabric level. This configlet can also be used in configprofiles which are applied at tier and switch level depending upon the use case. Please note that while adding the configlet to configprofile, you will have to provide values for following parameters :

• SpineCount - use Type 'Fixed' and set Value to number of spines in you fabric. As you must have observed integer part of name of switches at each tier starts with 1, this will help in offsetting the leaf's IP address by spine count.
• SwitchName - use Type 'Instance' and choose Value as HOST_NAME. This variable will hold the name of the switch.
