Bookmark Groups Mode

I love QS++ and I use it a lot.

I'm adding commands to my images in my dashboard that open QS++. Let's say I clicked the "MOC's" image/button, bookmarks mode comes up.

But of course when I do this I get all the bookmarks, not just the ones in the bookmark group called "MOCs".

I would be really happy if there was a way to add Bookmark Groups Mode to QS++. I tried a few workarounds like making the Workspace Mode command 'm, but if the m is a small letter, it doesn't filter out the "MOCs" group but returns notes with the letter m in it and vice versa.

In your use-case, are you wanting the switcher to open with a listing of all of your bookmark groups (assuming you have more than just one group), or is your aim to have it open listing the contents of a specific group?

I think this would be it. So what would happen is, I click this button I made with Advanced URI which would run the QS++ command:

When I click it, a screen with all the contents of that Bookmark Group would come up:

Of course this, but in the Quick Switcher panel, I just added that last screenshot to illustrate.

Thanks, there isn't a straightforward way of doing this kind of thing right now. A Bookmark Group mode as described above wouldn't be enough though, instead, you'd need to be able to somehow dynamically "inject" the Bookmark Group name into the search text as part of the QS++ command trigger. I'll add this to the backlog. Thanks!

Separately, it looks like you've already got Advanced URI setup for creating the button and executing the command to trigger QS++, so that part of it is working already.

@darlal I totally understand.

When I first opened the issue my use case only needed a Bookmark Group feature where you didn't need to inject the group name, but over time that changed.

Maybe you'd be able to do it in 2 steps:
1 - A simpler Bookmark Group feature where it only lists the bookmark group names. When you click any group name, it opens another QS panel where it shows the bookmarked notes inside that bookmark group, then when you select any note, the note opens. This is like what you said in your first reply to me.

2 - An addition to step 1, a new area in the settings page, similar to the trigger commands called "Bookmark Group Letters". This command group would have multiple commands like "Trigger 1, Trigger 2...." and the only thing you put there are letters. Those letters would be user defined, and they would be the first letters of the bookmark groups the user has. So it would be like I typed "P" to bring up the "Philosophy" group, but in trigger form. This way it could be mapped to an Advanced URI command.

Thanks, I'll give this some thought. I think there might be a way to generalize support for this kind of automation, so it can be used similar to Advanced URI.
