Build GreenJ in RHEL

Hi,

The README file provides information on how to build GreenJ in Ubuntu. But I would like to build GeenJ in RHEL 64 bit machine. I follwed instructions from here - http://www.loremipsum.at/produkte/greenj/introduction/#en. But the build is not happening.

Can you please provide me instructions to build GreenJ in RHEL.

I haven't tried building it on Red Hat.
Could you provide some additional information (logs, errors, ...) on why building it on RHEL fails?

Thanks for your reply.

May I know what all Qt-dev packages we need to installed for RHEL? I assumed 'qt' and 'qt-devel'. Here are the steps I have taken -

1. I installed 'qt' & 'qt-devel' by 'yum install qt qt-devel'.
2. Did qt initialization by '/etc/profile.d/qt.sh'
3. Configured and installed PJSIP.
4. Inside build directory of GreenJ source I typed 'qmake'. It gave me this error -

Hi again,
it seems that you have installed Qt3.3. I recommend installing Qt >= 4.6.

I think these are the packages you need: qt4, qt4-devel

Its becoming a pain now :)

My redhat repository had qt4 4.2. I somehow managed to install qt4 4.7.4-0 and qt4-devel 4.7.4-0 from external source. After that manually added '/usr/lib64/qt4/bin' into the $PATH.

When I tried to 'make' GreenJ, first I got this erro '/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lasound'. Resolved this issue by installing alsa-lib-devel package.

Now I get a error - '/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lphonon'. Which package should I install to resolve this?

Unfortunately I can't test it myself under RHEL at the moment, but I feel your pain ;)

You could try to remove the phonon dependency in the project configuration:
GreenJ/build/greenj.pro
Remove "phonon" from line
QT += core gui webkit network phonon

Is there no package available for phonon? Via apt-get its the libphonon-dev package...
I found this command to search for packages:
su -c 'yum list phonon'

I will try to build GreenJ under CentOS tomorrow.

Sorry for troubling you.

After removing 'phonon', now I am getting this error -

There is no package called 'phonon' in redhat. I installed 'phonon-backend-gstreamer' from external source, that didn't help. Please note, I am trying in RHEL 5.6 64 bit.

Now waiting for results of your build in CentoS.

Can anybody tell me. How to host the GreenJ project on the Web. There is no documentation on it that once the html softphone is build and GreenJ.exe is build now how to host that softphone as a web page or webservice on webserver.
