Impossible to log in.

Hi,
All of a sudden I have been shut out of my front end.

I normally always stay logged in, but now it asked me to log in and I kept getting a "Wrong email or password" error, although I knew my details were correct.

I tried to register again then, and from now on, whenever I go to sign in or register I get a "403 Forbidden" error.
Any solutions for that, please?

Hi,

1. Have you tried using "Forget Password"? See if you can reset the password.
2. About 403 Error, try looking into your server error.log. See if it shows any problems.
3. Try renaming .htaccess to _htaccess, see if that helps.

I have no idea why, but my .htaccess has disappeared. I didn’t touch it, but it’s gone. What next? 1. Yes, tried that, the screen comes up confirming it worked, but the email never arrives. 2. Don’t see anything unusual. 3. Tried that, that seems to have worked. The email did arrive after all, the password reset is working, but it won’t let me log in. The 403 seems to be solved now. To login as admin, you need to use ACP (backend) URL, eg: www.mysite.tld/admin.
You can't login from front end as admin.
