Switch to application freezes program

Under Linux and OSX clicking the "Switch to application" buttin while the FCD is in bootloader mode freezes the application. In the case of Linux, the freeze appears to occur in hid_read() where the pthread_cond_wait() never returns.

The problem could be that the FCD doesn't return anything when switching from bootloader to application mode and the callback hangs indefinitely because nothing is read and the read_callback() never resets the wait condition.

Indeed, if I comment out the read part of FCDBLReset() in fcd.c the program correctly switches back to application mode (most of the time).

The windows bootloader application says "HIDReset returns 204" after the FCD is switched from bootloader to application mode. The return value is the third byte of the returned data.
