Assign an A Team

When a sev 1 arrives and is sent to an A bed, there is usually already a team assigned that will drop what they are doing to assist. This usually includes a doctor, a resident, a nurse, and a tech. Often phlebotomy will send someone and someone from imaging will also be on hand.

I have the basics set up for this, but which agent is the "doctor"? Also is "imaging" the ct? And what kind of behaviors would all of the agents do when they meet the ESI1 patient in the trauma bay?

Imaging is a blanket term for both x-ray and cat scan. Most patients need one or the other, and imaging is usually the bottleneck.

There are three kinds of doctors in an ER: Practicing-only doctors, who only have nurses and techs to work with, faculty doctors who lead a team of residents, and the residents themselves who are all board-certified MDs (or DOs) before they start residency.

Residents are either interns (first years), second years, or third years. An intern would discuss everything with their faculty doctor and the faculty doctor would consult with the patient after the intern does. As residents progress to their third year, they hopefully only will consult briefly with a faculty doctor when they see a patient.

We need more details about what happens when an ES1 patient arrives. We'll need to ask the doctors. For now, I would send them t the A beds and have they wait an arbitrary amount of time and then go back to work.
