request: Have a global time offset. You know, for different time zone.

I tend to use the Docker version of OnTime on a Raspberry PI as well as on AWS lately. Is there a way to have a global offset time for when you are running the server in one time zone where everyone using it is in another time zone?

I imagine there could be a simple dropdown in General settings where you could choose +1, +2 +3 etc or -1, -2, -3 -4 type of global offset.
That way Time now (and everything else) would always show the correct time (zone).

you can set the tz environment variable in the docker compose to the timezone you need.
It doesn't have to fit the actual location of the server

Agreed. Bbt it gets messy when you just want to change the current local time zone without having to go in and edit the .yml at the server/file level.

We’re doing a tour and traveling around the country. It’s laborious to do it at the file level every night (since we’re traveling a TON). Having a quick dropdown to adjust things would make things so much easier.

I would personally be happy to see a fleshed out proposal on what timezone flows in Ontime could look like.
Maybe that is something that you can help with?

I'd imagine there'd be a section in the main settings, "General settings" and above "Time format". For an interface integration, I'd suggest:

Adjust Time
Adjust the "Time Now". Useful when the server's time zone is different from the event time zone.

then on the right it would be:
[dropdown containing a list from -11 to +11]
Adjusted time will be: 12:34:56

I think system-wide would make the most sense to most users.

I know I’m an outlier in that I do shows in different time zones sometimes in the same week lol.

But having it a system-wide setting feels right to me.
