add support for referring nodes with an alias

cluster-mgr workflows require a node label/tag to be specified to perform various node operations.

The node label/tag is auto-generated today based on the unique identification infos like hostname and serial-number however, such a label tends to be long and hence cumbersome to manage.

It might be useful to allow specifying node alias, that user could use instead of labels.
